Rebecca, The only two Howery men that came to Warren County, IA that I am aware of was Isaac Howery and David King Howery. They were brothers from Shelby Co., IN. David King Howery did not have a child named Philip so I'm thinking that your Philip belonged to Isaac Howery and wife Catharine Foust or 2nd wife Margaret Kirkpatrick. Sorry, but I did not research Isaac's family. Isaac stayed and died in Warren County, IA but David moved his family to Butler Co., KS cr 1885. Think maybe this is your connection?
