He was born 23 Oct 1834 in Putnam Co., IN and died 28 Mar 1914 in Indianola, Warren Co., IA. He was married twice and had 9 children from the two unions. The names of the children are: Margaret E. Sept. 22,1860; James M. May 24,1862; William A. Aug. 9,1866; Edward E. July 8, 1869; Stella M. Jan. 30, 1879, Myrtle Jan. 31, 1881; John L. Dec. 27, 1886; Dessa L. May 4, 1888; Ethel G.
