His parents were John and Lydia Ramey of Warren County, Iowa. My great grandmother, Rebecca Ramey Story, was his sister. I am wondering why he was in the south, Mississippi, and fought for the south, while his brother, William, fought for the north. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Margaret.
