JOHN WILLIAM VANFLEET, was born on 1 Feb 1870 in Palmyra, Warren Co. IOWA to JAMES KNOX POLK Vanfleet and Mary Matilda (McNeil) James KP& Mary, along with their 4 Children and their families went to Oklahoma in 1901. All settled in May, Harper Co., Oklahoma with the exception of Charles W.(born abt.1878)who went to Emmett, Idaho area with his wife's family the BROWNS'. A decendant of Lulu E.(dau. of James K.P.)can also verify these dates; she has documentation and has not been able to document at this time the link between James K.P. and his Father as Wesley except by "hear/say". I see the discrepcany of the marriage to Hannah Coles and you may be right that Wesley may had two (2)wives and maybe two(2) families and might explain why James is found in the household of Jeremiah when James is "4years of age".... The John you spesk of b 1856 with siblings "Daid;Martha;Mary;& Rose Anna (all et.1850-8)I do not have any info on BUT MAYBE their father WESLEY is One and the same Or another individual. HAVE any info. on a "ELLEN" as a wife of Wesley's. HOW ARE YOU RELATED TO THESE LINES?
