Jospeh E. MCMAHAN in a gguncle to me His parents William McMAHAN and Leticia McBAIN are my ggggrandparents. I have done a lot of reseach in this McMAHAN line and have proved it back to 1799 VA. to 2000 CA. What do you know about Joseph. Also was the Kate McMAHAN that married Z. FOUTS a widow with the first married name of MARSHMAN ?? I have a census record of 1865 Coffey Co.,KS. where William McMAHAN was living with the Fouts family. Caatherine age 38 of Ohio and looks like her children 1850 cnesus of Fort Desmoines,Polk Co. IA shows that Joseph and Marthe Fouts were married within that year and living on the next farm to William MCMAHAN and Leitica McMAHAN Joseph's paarents. What do you have on the SNYDERS. I have most of the Mote information from The Garst Museum in Darke County Ohio including many old photos (most without names). If you have a Mote line, possible you could identify some of the pictures. Also I have a lot of information from Iowa on the Mote's and Baldwin's as I hired people to do the research for me because I am in Maryland. I have been trying to connect Thompson Baldwin to Elijah as a couple genealogists have headed me in his direction. I know Elijah came from Ohio because it's on Marion's death certificate, only wish they had put a county on there. Looking forward to hearing from you. Barb

George md Mary Flesher and migrated to Warren County about 1852 from McLean County, IL. George was the son of John Bartholomew and Nancy McNaught and was born in Owen County, Indiana in 1825. Mary Flesher was the daughter of Solomon Asbury Flesher and Phoebe Turnipseed, and was born in Ohio in 1831. They lived in and are buried in Palmyra. They were the parents of nine (9) children: (1) John Abbott or Albert, who died as an infant, (2) William Newton (1850-1922) md. Mary Belle Payne (10 Children),(3) Laura E. (1853-1929) md. John Wesley Morris (2 children), (4) Ezra D. (1855-1903) md. Ida M. Willits (8 children), (5) Noah (1858-1931) md. Ida Igo (1 child), (6) James (1861-1940) md. Bertha James (6 children), (7) Grant, died in infancy, (8) Joseph C. (1865-1893) md. Mary Ellen Smith (1 child). and (9) Minnie May (1869-1947) md. Elmer Edgerton (? children). Most of these children married and spent their entire lives in the Warren and Polk County areas. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My ancestors came from Germany (Kading) but I do not know what part they came from. Our Kadings settled in Wisconsin and then in North Dakota. Some where along the line they changed the spelling to Kaeding which it is today. I think that it was about 1855 that they came to this country.
