Fraser born 21 Mar 1843 Wellsville, Columiana Co. Ohio, married 01 Oct 1874 to Catherine Elizabeth Handley. James died 09 Aug 1899 in Indianola, Warren Co., Iowa and Catherine died 19 May 1914 Indianola, Warren Co., Iowa. Marabet had a brother, her only sibling, Donald Croskey Fraser born 05 Dec 1884 and died 28 Nov 1946. I hope this helps. Do you know anything more about W. K. Caughlan - possible parents?

I need info on Marie. one census says she was born in GermanY and her death record says IA. Her parents came from Germany about in the 1880s I think. If so Marie must have been born in Germany. James father was John C McGee brother to Jonathan C McGee. John C's wife was Mary Barnes. James came to Warren Co IA and his brothers William, Jonathan, and Marion came later also. Their mother died in 1857 and I think that is when James brought them to Iowa. William joined the army Co D 1st IA CAv for the Civil War in 1861 and was discharged for disability in 1862 after only about 6 months or so in. Elijah McIntosh married REbecca Sayre who is the sister of Matilda Sayre who married Absolom Knotts. They are my gggp. Absolom Knotts was one of the first men in New Virginia with John Felton and I think McinTosh. They were mostly from Harrison Co WV or Taylor or Barbour or Preston. :) Elijah was born on Pleasant Creek in Harrison Co I have. I have some info on the Elijah/ Rebecca family but would love to have anything you have to fill in the many gaps. I will be glad to share with you also. Let me know what you need and I will see if I have it. I have done a lot of research in the WV area they came from. Ralph Sayre is doing a Sayre book so that is how I got the info on Elijah's family. many of those in Warren Co were also from Barbour and Harrison Co WV. McIntosh were from WV. They seemed to have moved enmass in teh 1850s. Perhaps to avoid a seeming coming war? Or was it just that the Iowa territory had opened up and land was getting harder to come by in WV. New Virginia IA aws founded by these WV folks. I dopn't know about shelby Co IN. It would be interesting to compare. My James YOUNG, 1828-1907, married Margaret Jane Lemmon in 1850 in Shelby County, IN. She died in Warren County in 1857, buried in Indian Valley/Cool Cemetery there. He had 2nd wife, Drissila Headlee, md. in 1861.

Mary is also resting in Warren County. I do have that she is at the Hartford Cemetary. James married a Mary McCoy.
