I have an aunt whose home and personal property was sold at auction by Wapello County to pay her debts when she went into a nursing home and was subsidized by the county-or at least Medicaid in about 1960. The homestead was at 1320 Van Buren and she moved into the (then) Jefferson Manor on Pennsylvania St just a few blocks from her home. Is there any way to get the records of the public auction and an inventory of what items were sold? I don't know where to begin or whom to write for this information. If anyone who knows where I can start looking for these records, I'd be most appreciative for the lead. Thanks in advance. Dar
