Grandfather; JOHN LANIGAN 1870 - 1880 death <http://iagenweb.org/boards/wapello/queries/index.cgi?rev=35412> AUTHOR: Mary Volunteer DATE: 9/10/2003 at 10:01:08 Surnames: LANIGAN,LANNIGAN,LANEGAN,DAVIS,BURNS,SELLWOOD,MYERS,MCCARTY,MCDERMOTT,SHEA,STRAIN,COLLETT,CHAPMAN,JONES,CLARK,SONGER My g. Grandfater; JOHN LANIGAN is in the 1870 Census for Wapello County Iowa. In 1880 census it just has his wife Mary listed as a widow. I am looking for his death record. He was born about 1824 in Ireland and he married Mary Burns who was also born in Ireland. Their first child Sarah was born in New York. *I am crossing my fingers on this one as I have been searching for years and years without success. What I am thinking is that his death info is listed under a different spelling of his surname LANIGAN. Could be under DANNIGAN, LANNIGAN, LANEGAN, LANAGAN, LARRIGAN, ECT:: Thanks again!
