Crawf Date: 10/18/2003 at 12:57:17 Surnames: COOKSONCOOKSTONCORNELLSPEARS Don't know how much you want about this family, but, I did find some additional information - mostly about the children of Ira Cookston and Elizabeth Pendleton. Blanche Beatrice Cookston was born on 8 Jun 1893 in Iowa (haven't had a chance to check Wapello county records yet) and died on 20 May 1953 in Los Angeles, California. As I indicated previously, she married Rollen W. (Rolla) Cornell on 8 Jun 1906 in Wapello county. Rollen was the son of Seneca Cornell (1858-1939) and Ella Caster. He was born on 31 Aug 1889 in Iowa and died on 9 Jun 1960 in Ventura county, California. As far as I can find, Rollen and Blanche had at least 3 children: 1. Gerald C. Cornell, born 22 Mar 1908 in Iowa and died on 18 Mar 1963 in Los Angeles, California. 2. Florence L. Cornell, born abt 1914 in Michigan 3. Rolla Seneca Cornell, born 26 Oct 1916 in Iowa and died on 2 May 1986 in San Bernadino county, California In the 1930 Federal census for California, Florence and Gerald are living with Ira and Elizabeth. Opal Valentine Cookston was born on 14 Mar 1894 in Indiana and died on 14 Jan 1981 in Los Angeles. Sometime between 1910 and 1920 she married Charles G. Spears. Charles Spears was born on 11 Jul 1891 in Pennsylvania and died on 6 Jul 1943 in Los Angeles. As near as I can find, Opal and Charles did not have any children. There are none listed in either the 1920 or 1930 Federal census. *************************************************************************** This is an automatically-generated notice.
