May be just a missed family. There are some in Davis County in 1930. Social Security Death Index shows that Estel Bowling was born 18 Dec 1911 and died Dec 1976 in Wapello county. Should not be difficult to get an obituary for him. You may either contact the Wapello County Genealogical Society for an obit, or, if you are willing to wait a week or so, I will get one for you. There are still Bowling family members in Ottumwa, but don't know if they are related or not. Vivian Evelyn Maring is the daughter of Carl Francis Maring and Ola Agnes Cook. They were married on 11 Jul 1912 in Wapello County. In the 1920 census they are living in Des Moines Township, Jefferson County, Iowa (p. 156) as follows: Carl F. Maring, head, aged 29, born Iowa Ola A. Maring, wife, aged 29, born Iowa Forrest C. Maring, aged 5, born Iowa Vivian Evelyn Maring, aged 4, born Iowa Oral Edward Maring, aged 2 born Iowa Carl Maring may be the son of George F.
