    1. [IAWAPELL] William H., Anna, Charles, Estella, Eva, Mildred, Clyde/Turner family
    2. I have located the aunt of my husband's orphaned g grandfather in Wapello Co, Ottumwa from 1880 to 1920, and would like to find some descendants. The Turner family information I have is as follows: William H. Turner b about 1830 PA Anna (Lamb) Turner b about 1839 MO Charles Turner b about 1861 Ill Estella/Estalla b about 1866 Ill Eva b about 1869 MO Mildred/ aka Milla b about 1872 IA Clyde b 1880 IA I would like to have contact with anyone researching this family or descendants of this family. Anna was the aunt of my husband's orphaned g grandfather. All contact was lost with the family. William H. Turner and Anna married in 1860, Peoria, Illinois. In 1870 they were in the MO census and then in 1880 the whole family again appears in Ottumwa Co, Wapello, IA. By 1900, William had died and Anna appears in the census only with Mildred. It says that Anna had had nine chldren, of whom four were living. In 1910 and 1920, Anna again appears both times with Mildred still living with her....and again the infomration is that she had 9 childrend and four living in 1910. I found a possible marriage for Estella to Richard Goode in Lucas Co, September 9, 1884, but apparently this Estella died because there is another marriage for Richard Goode in Lucas Co in 1891. Therefore, that leaves the four children, Charles, Eva, Mildred and Clyde as the four living children. The others apparently died at birth or as very young children and gaps in the ages of the known children leave plenty of room for that. I would LOVE to have contact with ANY family of Anna's. We have a picture we believe is Anna and an older brother as well as their father around the time of the Civil War. The picture is not labeled as such, but her brother was known to have been in the Civil War and the younger man in the picture is wearing a uniform. I have not been successful yet in finding marriages for the Turner kids, other than Estella, but hopefully someone will have specific information here. I'm seeking marriage for the kids, probably Charles, Eva and Clyde (assuming Mildred never married, but maybe?). I'd also like to find out where this family was buried as I live in Iowa and would like to go to the cemetery next Spring to place flowers. William apparently died after 1880 and before 1900. I haven't checked the 1925 state census yet, to see if Anna was still alive, but that is a trip to Iowa City and we're having too much snow for me to make that trip safely. Thank you for any help with this. If descendants are out there...we'd love to have contact. We are in Iowa. If anyone as access to any information at all that might help, we'd be grateful.
