I am seeking where Abijah Decker and wife Tina Decker were buried. Tina or Christina Decker was born ca1793 and died in Polk, Wapello County, Iowa 18 May 1877, where was she buried? Abijah Decker b. ca1787 was given in the War of 1812 index of pensioners as having died 28 Jan 1869, in Wapello, Iowa. Where was he buried? Vicky, I can find no listings for any Decker family member buried in Polk township, Wapello county. Tina did live in Polk township in 1870, she appears in the Federal census. She is living with her son, John H. Decker and his family. However, there is nothing in the census that would allow me to pinpoint a possible burial site. It's too bad they did not include addresses in the census records in those days. Sorry I could not have been more help.
