Hi, Thanks for your response to my posting. My great-grandfather was Harry Ruark, b. 1891 Farmington, Van Buren Co., his parents were Isora Leavitt Ruark & John Ruark. My "Isora" and your "Cora" sound a lot alike. Do you know any dates for your Cora, John and Harry Ruark, do you know if they lived in Farmington? My John Ruark's father was James Ruark (born 1841 or 1842, died 1924), a Civil War veteran who was married three times and had many children. Which is your Ruark line? My great-great-grandmother Isora Leavitt Ruark was born in 1871 in NH, daughter of J. Frank Avery Leavitt & Lucy Carroll. These Leavitt's had been in NH since the late 1600's, and were closely allied with the Cheney family. Does any of this sound familiar? Hope to hear back from you soon.
