    1. [IAVANBUR] My Introduction: WICKERSHAM, SMITH, HAWKINS
    2. Ron and Marilyn
    3. THANK YOU, what a nice way to welcome people to your site! My gg grandparents, Mary Ann SMITH and James WICKERSHAM were married in Birmingham, Van Buren Co., 18 Oct. 1855. James brother John married Christina ALBERTSON 9 Oct. 1856 and Sister Jane WICKERSHAM married Joseph FOSTER 20 April 1861 there also. I know that my 3rd greatgrandparents, Mary A. HAWKINS and John C. SMITH were land owners there also. I believe Reuben HAWKINS and a Benjamin SMITH. other relatives were there also. I had the wonderful good fortune of visiting your courthouse last summer and running into a retired auto dealer and county historian there that helped me find some land records from 1856 and guiding me to where John C. Smith lived and where the marriage of my gg grandparents took place. It is a corn field now, but huge trees remain east of Birmingham near a bridge and cemetery. So of course I'm on the trail of John C. Smith, parents unknown, but John born in PA in 1802 and married Mary A. HAWKINS Dec. 1825 the dau of Benjamin and Mary Hawkins, place unknown. The other SMITH people are: Benjamin H. SMITH married Alcestus NEWELL 27 Dec. 1854 and sister Rebecca Sarah SMITH married H.C. FISHEL 12 Nov. 1857 in Birmingham, Van Buren Co. Marilyn, Lewiston, Idaho
