Even with the snow cover, it was very easy to find using the maps Rich has posted on the VBC WebPage. Unfortunately, it is in the same poor condition as described by Ernie Lunsford on an August 13, 2000 posting on this forum. In addition to the Webpage map, one needs to keep a sharp eye for the large cedar trees that Ernie also mentions. I have a suggestion for anyone that knows someone needing an Eagle Scout Project or knows of a Boy Scout Troop that is looking for an excellent community service project. Having been a Scoutmaster for several years, I am in a habit making mental notes for an Eagle Project or a worthwhile service project for the community. I know of several abandoned mountain cemeteries in Colorado have been cleaned up and restored to a very respectful condition by Boy Scouts. The same thing can be done by any service organization, but I am partial to the Boy Scout program. Should a scout troop take this on for a project, I would like very much to hear about the results.
