    1. [IAVANBUR] LANGLEY and MADDOX look-ups
    2. Was there a family by the name of LANGLEY or MADDOX living in or near Plymouth, Van Buren Co., Iowa, in 1850? Will someone be kind enough to do a look-up for me? I rechecked my original 1979 information and learned that John GRAHAM had died of pneumonia while building a mill on the DesMoines River. This was in July or Aug., 1850. His wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" LANGLEY, and their three-year-old son, Jasper Newton GRAHAM, lived with her wealthy uncle and his two old-maid daughters, for two months after John's death. Elizabeth and Jasper took a boat back to her mother's home in Ouachita Co., Arkansas. Her uncle would have been a Langley or a Maddox. Elizabeth's parents were James W. LANGLEY and Judah Judith MADDOX. It is possible that Elizabeth and Jasper could have been living in their household when the 1850 Census was taken. I will appreciate any help so much!! Thank you! -Shirley in LA

    3. There was a Samuel Langley in Farmington twp. in 1852. I don't have local access to the 1852 census unfortunately. The only thing I come up with for a Maddox is a William Maddox in the 1838 census.
