Edward Weir was born near Edinburg, Scotland. Eleanor Smith married Thomas Popnal (of England) and their daughter (my grandmother) Eleanor married Wm. Thomson Weir, Jr. Edward was a carriage maker in Manhattan, NY and retired to Staten Island, NY. Two sons, Abraham & James married to sisters Elizabeth & Christiana Haig, gaughters of Thomas & Anna Thomson Haig of Prestenpans, Scotland. C. R. Weir, Jr
