I have not yet found a connection between this family of Drummonds and Lowell Dean's and mine. Only the name is the same. As a matter of fact, I found a posting on GenForum Drummond site about Rebecca Drummond/Stephen Hopkins. It indicates those Drummonds were from Kinderhook, Columbia Co., New York, and has the exact same names as listed above. Our Drummonds came to the Van Buren County, Iowa and Scotland County, Missouri area from Virginia. We can trace them back to Joshua Drummond in the 1700s, not the Josiah mentioned in Verna Lewis' letter.
