I've "rescued" an old photograph of Wesley Dennet BRIDGES of Mediapolis, IA which was taken at the Goodnow Studio in Mediapolis. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Wesley likely in his 20's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Wesley and his family: Wesley Dennett BRIDGES was b. 5 Oct 1868 in Mediapolis, IA to parents John Dillon BRIDGES (b. 14 Feb 1845 in Yellow Springs, IA) and Marcy or Marcia Jane VINCENT (b. 21 May 1839 in Washington, OH). Wesley was one of 5 children born to this couple including, Wesley Dennett; Grant F.; Minerva J.; Morris J.; and Sarah Abigail BRIDGES, all born between 1868 and 1879. Wesley married Anna Mae NICHOLS (b. 12 Dec 1872 in Grundy Center, IA - dau of William NICHOLS and Mary L. CROUSE) on 23 May 1894 in Montour, IA. They had 7 children including, Harold Anye; Robert Merlyn; Delmas or Delmar Jarold; Vivian M.; and Leona Leota; Velma; and one other, all born between 1895 and 1911. Wesley died in Montour, IA on 2 Jan 1935 and is buried in Gladbrook, IA. Wesley's son Harold Anye BRIDGES was b. 28 Feb 1895 in Louisa, IA and their next son Robert M. BRIDGES was born 25 Jul 1897 in Morning Star, IA and married Isabel C. GUTHRIE (b. 1899 in Lone Tree, IA - dau of Joseph R. GUTHRIE and Nellie BABBITT) on 15 Oct 1921 in Cedar Falls, IA and he died 6 Nov 1969 in Forest City, IA. Their daughter Velma Marcia Louise BRIDGES was b. 7 Sept 1910 in Montour, IA. His son Jarold D. BRIDGES was living in Chicago, IL when he applied for a passport in 1963 and immigrated to Brazil listing his birthdate as 19 Jun 1905 in Grundy Center, IA.
