Jean was a member of St. Lawrence Parish. Survivors include husband, Dr. Rex Heese, of Carroll, Iowa; sons, Dr. Jan Heese and wife, Jo, of Omaha, Neb, Dr. Ned Heese and wife, Nancy, of Kansas City, Mo., Max Heese and wife, Vicki, of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla., Dr. Kit Heese of Carroll, Don Heese of Des Moines, Iowa, and Dr. Curt Heese and wife, Mindy, of Philadelphia, Pa.; daughters, Lyn Stuntz and husband, Dr. Wendell, of Council Bluffs and Fay Lamer of Waterloo, Iowa; brothers, Jim Schimerowski and wife, Mary Lou, of Earling, Iowa and Larry Schimer- owski and wife, Carol, of Earling, Iowa; sister, Kathleen Bissen of Dewey, Ariz. Visitation will be held Thursday after 2:30 p.m. at Twit Funeral Home in Car- roll, Iowa. A rosary will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. and a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Heese, 78, died Monday, May 1, at her home. The Rev. Timothy Schott will preside at the Mass. Lectors will be Dr. Ned Heese and Siri Heese. Gift bearers will be Julie Lamer, Karen Lamer and Olga Heese. Eucharistic minister will be Dr. Wendell Stuntz. Casket bearers will be Mrs. Heese’s six sons and two daughters. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery at Carroll. Visitation starts at 2:30 p.m., a rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. and a vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. Memorial contributions can be made to New Hope Village and Kuemper Catholic Schools. A daughter of Stanley and Lena (Ebert) Schimerowski, she was born Sept. 30, 1927, at Earling and was educated at St. Joseph School there. She and Dr. Rex Heese were married July 13, 1948, at St. Joseph Church in Earling. Mrs. Heese was employed at New Hope Village in Carroll for 16 years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Rex Heese, of Carroll; six sons: Dr. Jan Heese and his wife, Jo, of Omaha, Neb., Dr. Ned Heese and his wife, Nancy, of Kansas City, Mo., Max Heese and his wife, Vickie, of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., Dr. Kit Heese of Carroll, Don Heese of Des Moines and Dr. Curt Heese and his wife, Mindy, of Philadelphia, Pa..; two daughters: Lynn Stuntz and her husband, Dr. Wendell, of Council Bluffs and Fay Lamer of Waterloo; 22 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jim Schimerowski and his wife, Mary Lou, of Earling and Larry Schimerowski and his wife, Carol, of Earling; and a sister, Kathleen Bissen, of Dewey, Ariz. Mrs. Heese was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jay C. Heese, in 1991; and two sisters: Helen LaPierre and Sister Janice Schimerowski.
