MANILLA -- Rose Rutherford, 90, Manilla, died Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the Manilla Manor in Manilla. Services were held Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Manilla with burial in the Mount Olivet Cemetery at Manilla. Rutherford is survived by seven children -- Raymond E. (Jay) Rutherford of Manilla, Marlys Karsten of Manning, Lanny (Maurine) Rutherford of Estherville, Wayne (Donna) Rutherford of Crete, Neb., Tom (Carolyn) Rutherford of Manilla, Diane Sonderman of Earling and Gloria (Ron) Lohrmann of Denison; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; cousin Bill Book of Kansas City, Mo.; brother-in-law Ben (Gretchen) Rutherford of Forest City; sisters-in-law Margaret Reinholdt of Fullerton, Calif. and Katie Frieze of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.
