SOLON -- Word has been received of the death of Michael J. Petersen, 58, Solon, who died Nov. 2 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Olin United Methodist Church in Olin. Petersen graduated from Harlan High School in 1962. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Solon; parents Forrest and Dorothy Petersen of Harlan; brother Stephen (Carrie) Petersen of Ames; mother-in-law Rosemary Slater of Olin; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and 10 nieces and nephews.
