COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Howard G. Gaer, 82, Council Bluffs, died Friday, Jan. 10 at Indian Hills Nursing Home. Services were held Monday, Jan. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Pauley Funeral Home, Harlan, with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Irwin. Gaer is survived by son Merlyn of Nixa, Mo.; daughters Carolyn (Gregg) Schneider of Omaha and Glenda (Todd) Sliger of Council Bluffs; sisters Leona Petersen of Harlan and Dorothy Zaiger of Audubon; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
