Parr, 97, Avoca, died Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Avoca Nursing and Rehab Center. Services were held Monday, Oct. 7 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Persia with burial in the Minden Cemetery. Parr is survived by daughters Jeanette Swensen of Elk Horn, Louise (Mike) Jensen of Minden and Genevieve Kemmish of Council Bluffs; sister-in-law Lou Dobernecker of Carnarvon; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
