HARLAN -- Esther L. Rutherford, 64, Harlan, died Thursday, Sept. 19 in Harlan. Services were held Monday, Sept. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville with burial in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery at Elk Horn. Rutherford is survived by her daughter Mary (John) Taggs of Harlan; four sons -- Kevin (Deb) Rutherford of Harlan, Kent (Gayleen) Rutherford of Eagle Grove, Keith (Amy) Rutherford of Marinette, Wi. and Kelly (Sheryl) Rutherford of Hickman, Neb.; sister Doris Christensen of Audubon; brother John (Sandy) Andersen of Hiawatha; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
