AVOCA -- Elaine E. Nielsen, 71, Avoca, died September 29 at her home. Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery. Nielsen is survived by her children -- Connie (Bob) Jorgensen of Avoca, Sheri Nielsen of Omaha and John (Nancy) Nielsen of Dunlap; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers -- Eugene (Emmie) Krohn and Fred (Willie) Krohn, all of Council Bluffs, and Harry (Gladys) Krohn of Treynor; and sister-in-law Betty Krohn of Shelby.
