PORTSMOUTH -- Helen M. Stein, 80, Portsmouth, died Sunday, Oct. 6 at her home. Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Our Lady of Fatima Church in Portsmouth with burial in the St. Mary's Cemetery at Portsmouth. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Pauley Funeral Home, Harlan, and from 6-9 p.m. at St. Mary's Our Lady of Fatima Church. Stein is survived by daughters Dorothy Gross of Council Bluffs, Mary (John) Murtaugh of Wayne, Neb. and Pat (Randy) Pash of Harlan; sons Alfred (Jeanne) Stein of Lansing, James (Darla) Stein of Storm Lake, Pete (Patti) Stein of Portsmouth, Carl (Sandy) Stein of Odessa, Mo., Bill Stein of Thurman, Don Stein of Portsmouth, Ken (Julie) Stein of Portsmouth, Larry (Carol) Stein of Portsmouth and Paul (Denise) Stein of Griswold; daughter-in-law Pam Stein of Hemet, Calif.; sister Mildred (Tony) Reinig of Harlan; 41 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
