Allmon MISSOURI VALLEY - Dorothy L. Allmon, 86, of Missouri Valley died Nov. 2 at the Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley. She was born in Missouri Valley on Dec. 23, 1915, to Charles and Mabel (Nelson) Deal. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School. She taught for a time in a rural school. She married Max Allmon on May 7, 1937, in Onawa. They farmed until retiring to Missouri Valley in 1974. She was active in the Church of Christ and Eastern Star. Survivors include seven sons, Robert and wife, Paula, of Omaha, Richard and wife, Maxine, of Woodbine, Clifford and wife, Anita, of Moorhead, Charles and wife, Cindy, of Harlan, Jerry of Laredo, Texas, Dean and wife, Judy, of Manning, Tom of Mondamin and Michael and wife, Julie, of Missouri Valley; three daughters, Elizabeth Neese and husband, Allen, of Missouri Valley, Mary Arp and husband, Stan, of Omaha and Judy Fox and husband, Don, of Spokane, Wash.; one brother, Gerald Deal of Missouri Valley; one sister, Virginia Morgan of Lakewood, Calif.; 29 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one aunt; nieces and nephews. An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Visitation with the family will follow. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Church of Christ in Missouri Valley with the Rev. Ron Wymer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Missouri Valley.
