Hello list, I have found out more about the LAGE/SCHNOOR families we are researching. Two immigrants with the surname LAGE married into our family--actually marrying two SCHNOOR sisters. CAECILIA ("Celia") SCHNOOR married THOMAS LAGE in 1883. In Shelby County somewhere, we think. Would love to find a record of that, for starters. We know that she still lived in 1930, appearing in the Federal Census. She is 73 years old. Living on their family farm with 77 year old Thomas and their two sons. We don't know when Celia or Thomas died, but would love to find out the date and find obituaries for both of them. Any ideas? We would also like to find obituaries for their sons CARL LAGE and WILLIAM LAGE. CARL H. died in April of 1969, in Harlan. This from SSDI. WILLIAM died in August of 1983, also in Harlan. Is there anyone who can help us locate obituaries or give us any more ideas as to how to proceed from here.
