Abel, 77, Avoca, died Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha. Services were held Friday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. at Walnut Presbyterian Church with burial in the Southlawn Memorial Gardens in Atlantic. Abel is survived by her husband, Paul, of Avoca; sons Lyle of Tumwater, Wa. and Leslie (Terri) of Walnut; daughters Sonya (Larry) Schuler of Marne, Jodie (Mark) Knudsen of Atlantic, Becky (Dave) Thielen of Elkhorn, Neb.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister Edith Weible of Elk Horn; brothers Ross (Evelyn)Cadwell of Denison, Hal (Darlene) Cadwell of Manning and Vryl (Edith) Cadwell of Manilla; nieces and nephews.
