Gould was born and raised in Harlan. He is survived by his wife, Betty Davis-Gould of Des Moines; father and stepmother Russell (Arlene) Gould of Harlan; son John P. Gould of Omaha; stepson Robert J. Bullock of Des Moines; stepdaughter Marilyn D. Balmer of Brooklyn; six stepgrandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Graham T. Gould, of Omaha. ©The Harlan Tribune 2003
