COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Word has been received of the death of William T. Smith, 71, Council Bluffs, who died December 1 at his home. Services were held Thursday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church with burial at 3 p.m. Thursday at the St. Boniface Cemetery in Westphalia. Smith is survived by his wife, Iona (Henscheid) Smith of Council Bluffs; four daughters and three sons; and sister Rita (Lester) Schmitz of Portsmouth. Smith was born in Earling.
