He was owner and operator of Hancock Elevator and several other elevators around Southwest Iowa including Harlan. Funeral services will be Friday, December 30 at 11 am at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, Council Bluffs. Visitation with the family was held Thursday, December 29 from 6 to 8 pm also at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; sons Johnny and Zachary Coffelt, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; mother and step father Betty and Harry Schultz of Crescent; sisters, Debby (Deveron) Moser, Bennington, Neb. and Paulette (Joe) Kinskey, Dike; brother, Bob (Becky) Coffelt, Eagle Grove. = = = = = = = = = == = John W. Coffelt ©Daily Nonpareil 12/29/2005 John W. Coffelt, 52, of Council Bluffs, passed away Dec. 27, 2005 in Harlan. He was born Nov. 4, 1953 in Council Bluffs to John E. and Betty Pendegraft Coffelt. He graduated from Oakland High School and received Bachelors degree from Iowa State University. He was owner and operator of Hancock Elevator and others around Southwest Iowa. Mr. Coffelt and his wife, Kathryn (Dagosta), were married 32 years. His father, John E., preceded him in death. Survivors in addition to his wife include sons, Johnny and Zachary both of Minneapolis, Minn.; mother and step father Betty and Harry Schultz of Crescent; sisters, Debby Moser and husband, Deveron, of Bennington, Neb. and Paulette Kinskey and husband, Joe, of Dike, Iowa; brother, Bob and wife, Becky, of Eagle Grove. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Dr. E.A. Hering, officiating. Memorials may be offered for the wishes of the family.
