Littleton, 32, Dunlap, died Thursday, Oct. 6 at Nebraska Medical Center. Services were held Monday, Oct. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with burial in the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig. Littleton is survived by her parents, Joan Littleton and Mike Petersen of Denison; stepmother Diana (Mark) Maulsby of Denison; brother Jerod (Kim) Petersen of Schleswig; sister Keri (Glenn) Winsick of Bellevue, Neb.; maternal grandmother Pat Nutt of Dunlap; paternal grandmother Irene Littleton of Denison; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. = = = = = = = = Dunlap woman dies as a result of injuries Denison Bulletin/Review 10/07/2005 A 32-year-old Dunlap woman died during the early morning hours Thursday due to injuries sustained in an October 4 accident, the Iowa State Patrol said. Tricia R. Littleton was injured Tuesday in an accident at the intersection of Clark Street and Highway 30 in Dow City. The accident happened at 3 p.m. According to the Iowa State Patrol's crash report, Terry L. Salter, 51, was driving a 1998 Peterbilt semi tractor and trailer and was making a righthand turn. Littleton failed to stop in a safe and clear distance and rear ended the semi's trailer. Littleton was brought to Crawford County Memorial Hospital first and then transported, the Iowa State Patrol said. She died at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. No other details were available yet from the Iowa State Patrol. = = = = = = = = More information released on fatal Dow City accident ©Daily Nonpareil 10/11/2005 The Iowa State Patrol has released more information about the October 4 accident in Dow City that resulted in the death of Tricia Littleton, 32, of Dunlap. The Iowa State Patrol said Terry Salter, 51, of Missouri Valley, was driving a 1998 Peterbilt semi tractor, pulling a trailer, and was traveling east on Highway 30. He was making a right-hand turn onto Clark Street. Littleton was driving a 1992 Ford Tempo east on Highway 30 and failed to stop at a safe distance and collided with the semi. The Iowa State Patrol's accident report said the point of impact was the front of Littleton's car with the right rear of the semi. Littleton was transported to Crawford County Memorial Hospital by Crawford County Ambulance and then Life Flighted to an Omaha hospital. Littleton died as a result of her injuries on Thursday at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Salter was uninjured in the accident.
