Burial will take place at 1:15 pm Wednesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Defiance. Duane Goetzinger died Monday, November 28th, at the Maple Crest Care Center. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm Tuesday, November 29th, at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan. Family will greet friends from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm, and a wake service will be held at 7:30 pm. He was born in Harlan, Iowa. He previously lived in Defiance, Iowa. He graduated in 1966 from Thomas Jefferson High School. He was a truck driver for 21 years. Survivors include aunts, Josephine Heller of Harlan, Agnes Goetzinger of Westphalia; uncles, Virgil Goetzinger and wife, Irene, of Alma, MI and Charles Goetzinger and wife, Eunice, of Defiance; special friends, DeeAnn Jones of Portland, Ore., and Ashley Jones of Portland, Ore. Visitation tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's with the Rev. Robert Hoefler officiating. Burial will be in Sts.
