She was born in Panama. She attended country school and she worked for area families. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Rosary Society. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn "Jack" Smith. They were married 57 years. Survivors include her sons, Garry Smith of Harlan and Marlin Smith and wife, Phyllis, of Panama; daughters, Cherylene Huebert and husband, Neil, of Panama and Valerie Sullivan and husband, Bill, of Council Bluffs; sister, Barbara Newland, of Harlan; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Wake Service at 7 p.m. all at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Hoefler celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Panama.
