OMAHA -- Ernest W. Mohr, 92, Omaha, died Sunday, Dec. 11 at Immanuel Fontenelle Nursing Home. Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca. A prayer service will be Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home Avoca Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mohr is survived by son Darrell (Christine) Mohr of Omaha; sister Frances Johnson of Big Springs, Neb.; and three grandchildren. = = = = = = = = = = Ernest Walter Mohr ©Daily Nonpareil 12/13/2005 Ernest Walter Mohr, age 92, of Omaha, Neb., passed away December 11, 2005, at Immanuel Fontenelle Nursing Home in Omaha, Neb. Ernest was born in Walnut, Iowa, and previously lived in Avoca, Iowa. He had lived in Omaha since October of 2004. Ernest attended country school and was a farmer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church-Avoca. His wife, Leona, preceded Mr. Mohr in death on June 30, 1988. They were married 46 years. Survivors include his son, Darrell Mohr, and wife, Christine, of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Frances Johnson, of Big Springs, Neb.; three grandchildren. Open visitation Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Pauley Jones funeral Home in Avoca. Funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca with Pastor Duane Annunson, officiating. Burial will be Thursday at Graceland Cemetery in Avoca.
