Fedler, a Catholic priest, died in Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa Tuesday 7-25-1944 at 8:00 p.m. after an illness of four months. Father Fedler was born at St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 10,1860 to Frank and Theresa Fedler, he came to Fort Madison with his parents, at the age of one year. He was a resident of Fort Madison since his retirement from the priesthood in 1926. He was ordained June 28, 1884, and served as priest of a parish in Bauer, Iowa, three years; Harper, Iowa, ten years and Panama, Iowa, 27 years. Survivors include two nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be held in Sacred Heart church Friday morning at 10 o'clock, and at Panama, Iowa, Saturday morning. Burial will be in Panama. The body is to be taken from the Nieters funeral home to Sacred Heart church Thursday evening where the rosary will be recited at 7:30. The body will remain in the church until after the services Friday.
