Brix Andersen, 95, of Avoca Nursing & Rehab in Avoca died March 2 at the nursing home. She was born in Cass County. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Andersen was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, in 1999. They were married 68 years. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Mills, and husband, Edwin, of Harlan; two sons, Donald and wife, Clarice, and Lowell, all of Harlan; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Pauley Knutson Funeral Home in Walnut. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut with the Rev. Doris Ruben officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery. ©Daily Nonpareil 2003
