AVOCA -- Ruth L. Sievers, 86, Avoca, died Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the Avoca Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut with burial in the Harlan Cemetery. Visitation with family will be Friday, Feb. 28 from 7-8 p.m. at Pauley Knutson Funeral Home in Walnut. Sievers is survived by two sons -- Donovan "Toby" (Janet) Sievers of Perham, Minn. and Kent (Judy) Sievers of Columbus Junction; daughter Jill (Phil) Hansen of Fort Dodge; and three grandchildren. ©The Harlan Tribune 2003
