EARLING -- Elizabeth J. Pauley, 64, Earling, died Wednesday, March 26 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan. Services will be held Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. Family will greet friends Friday, March 28 from 6-9 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan. A rosary will be held Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A wake service was held Thursday, March 27 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Visitation was from 2-5 p.m. Thursday and will be held 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Visitation also was from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Church. Pauley is survived by her husband, Jerome, of Earling; sons Rick (Peg) of Earling, Gary (Karen) of Parker, SD and Tim (Sandy) of LeMars; daughters Kim (Jim) Wessels of Marble Rock, Julie (George) Langenfeld of Harlan, Jayne (Bruce) Parker of Smithland and Anne Pauley of Earling; brothers Cletus "Bud" (Wilma) Weis of Harlan, Robert (Ruth) Weis Sr. of Defiance, Joseph (Gladys) Weis Jr. of Norfolk, Neb., Ronald (Rita) Weis of Omaha and Gary (Joann) Weis of Omaha; and sisters Elaine (Pete) Sheldon of Harlan, Marie (Jack) McGill of Omaha, Alice Alexander of Earling, Agnes Gary of Richmond, Va., Grace (Gary) Madden of Avoca and Pat (Tom) Muenchrath of Earling; and 13 grandchildren. ©The Harlan Tribune 2003
