OSCEOLA -- Helene M. Barratt, 79, Osceola, died September 2 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. at Kate Funeral Home in Osceola with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Irwin. Barratt is survived by her son, Robert "Mike" Barratt of Osceola; sisters Alice Haugen of Kerrville, Texas, Doris (Jack) Mallernee of Hereford, Az. and Norma Griffin of Indianola; brothers Wilber (Marcie) Wetzel of Irwin and Harry (Donna) Wetzel of Irwin; and other relatives.
