She was born on June 29, 1929, in Omaha, Neb., to Claude Albert Lee Baker and Laura (Magers) Baker. Lucille was for many years a volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, a member of Royal Neighbors and the Red Cross. She and Mick farmed in Crescent, Iowa, where she was a member of Hazel Dell Methodist Church. After retiring to Phoenix, Ariz., in 1988, Lucille volunteered in the gift shop of the John C. Lincoln Hospital, Deer Valley. She was an avid reader, cook, and book collector. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, George Mick Sarratt; two daughters, Marcia Sarratt Kilbane and Mona Sarratt Knight of Phoenix; grandchildren, Megan Fair- child, and husband, Kirk, of Phoenix and Jason Knight of Denver, Colo.; also great-grandaughter, McKenna Pierce of Phoenix; sister, Alice Baker Kline of Council Bluffs; brother, Dean Baker and wife, Arlene, of El Sobrante, Calif.; and many friends. Lucille chose to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local public library.
