Spurgeon who married Effie Black in Shelby Co., IA on May 2, 1894. I have been digging around on the web and wonder if the H.M. stands for Havila Milton Spurgeon. By 1914 they were in Eugene, Lane Co., OR. Does anyone know anything at all about this family? Effie died in Eugene Oregon in 1914 and H.M. took her back to Shelby Co. Iowa L.D.S. Cemetery for her burial at her request. Would like to find descendants for H.M. & Effie Black Spurgeon. Her obit said they had 4 children.
