I noted you have a John Schmieder born in 1859 and buried in Marcus Ia. I know my greatgrandfather was married twice. His first wife's name was Mary O'Kelly. I do not recall his second wifes name-she was always Grandma. I do know she had at least 2 daughters. One lived with my gr.grandparents and the other was married and lived in Sioux City Ia. Could your John Schmieder and my great gr.father be one and the same? I know my grandmother was born in Marcus. Look forward to hearing from you.
