Mrs. Nissen died Monday morning at the home of her son, Chris Nissen, here. Burial was at Kimballton, IA. Carline Christensen was born in Denmark in 1873 and came to the United States with her parent when she was two years old. They settled at Harlan, IA. She was married to Hans Christenson Nissen in 1890. They had eight children. Mr. and Mrs. Nissen lived in Afton many years before moving to Kimballton, IA. She had made her home with her son here for the past two years. Her husband and thee children preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Ms. Thor Neilson of Kimballton and Helen Nissen of Atchison, Kans.; three sons, Carl of Albuquerque, N.M., and Peter and Chris of Afton; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her twin sister, Mrs. C. D. Petersen of Harlan.
