Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer Woodring Funeral Home. Elder is a former Irwin resident. She is survived by daughters Anna R. (John) Caffery of Council Bluffs, Charlotte R. (David) Aten of Council Bluffs, Alice (Robert) Steckelberg of Harlan and Elsie Myers of Harlan; son Orville Petersen of Bend, Ore.; daughter-in-law Lila Petersen of Irwin; stepdaughter Bette (Marvin) Snapp of Oroville, Calif.; stepons Matt Elder of Council Bluffs; stepdaughter Peggy Daley of Council Bluffs; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 21 stepgrandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. ©The Harlan Tribune 2003
