HANCOCK -- John C. Sorensen, 69, Hancock, died February 2 in Harlan. Services were held Thursday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. at Hancock United Methodist Church with burial in the Hillside Cemetery at Hancock. Sorensen is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter Kathy (Clay) Comer; son Jeff (Rhonda) Sorensen; three granddaughters; four step-grandsons; sisters Hanne (Harold) Green of Avoca and Marian Landon of Ogden, Utah; and brothers Paul (Carolyn) Sorensen of Independence, Mo. and Soren (Donna) Sorensen of Omaha. ©The Harlan Tribune 2003
