Hulsebus ©Daily Nonpareil 05/18/2006 Stanley E. Hulsebus, age 82, of Council Bluffs passed away May 16, 2006. Stanley was born June 11, 1923, in Defiance, Iowa, to the late Sidney and Ella Hulsebus. After graduation from Defiance High, he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked for the Wabash Railroad now the Norfolk and Western as an agent for 31 years. Stanley and wife Ruth had been married for 61 years. Memberships include VFW, American Legion, Narve, Morse Code Club, Fish and Game Club, Senior Mens Bowling League and Bethany Presbyterian Church. Stanley is also preceded in death by brothers, Edgar and Oliver. Survivors include his loving wife Ruth; and special son Gary, both of Council Bluffs; sister, Bernice Krantz, of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; brother, Douglas and wife Kathy, of Jenks, Okla. Visitation with family will be Thursday from 7-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. all at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, Rev. Kathryn Bates, officiant. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery with luncheon to follow at Bethany Presbyterian. Family has directed memorials to Bethany Presbyterian or Fish and Game Club.
