He was born in Dunlap and lived there most of his life. He was a retired farmer. Funeral services were held on February 9, at the United Methodist Church in Dunlap, Elder Darrell Argotsinger officiated at the service. Internment was in the Manteno Cemetery near Dunlap. Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap, handled the arrangements. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence , in 1978. He is survived by: one daughter, Dena Shepley of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; one son, Dick of Missouri Valley; one sister, Ruth Kjer of Council Bluffs; one brother, Bill of Dunlap; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. I have an Essie Muck who is a neice to Robert W Muck but have no other information on her. But I was reading her father's obituary and a Mrs Fry from Irwin, MO was at the funeral. Essie is the only daughter I do not know when, who or if she was married. Essie was born in Jones CO, IA in 1860.

Frank married Bertha Blum on May 16, 1922 at St. Peters catholic church in Defiance Ia. Bertha born march 5 1902 in Panama Ia. Daughter of John J. and Mary Schwarte Blum. John was born Feb. 27,1878 in Westphalia Ia. Son of Joseph and Katherine Kaufman Blum. Berthas mother Mary, born March 12 1873, daughter of Herman and Magdelene Nolles Schwarte. Berthas mother Mary died two weeks after Bertha was born. Berthas father John then married Mary Bier they had 12 children plus Bertha and her brother Aloysius who was two when their mother died. After Berthas death Frank married Mayme Koppold Blum, widow of Joseph Blum son of William andJosephine Graeve Blum. Joseph Blum was my GGrandfather. Hope this info helps. Connie Lehan-spangler

Message Board Post: My GG Grandfather is Henry Leenan (b.1850 d.1928) married to Theresia Juenemann (b. 1855 d. 1922) one of their daughters is Mary Sophia (b.1879 d.1952) married to Arnold Ebert (b. 1873 d. 1957) whose daughter is Magdalena b.1900 d.1963) married to Stanley Schimerowski (b.1898 d.1983). All are buried in Earling, Iowa. My questions is if anyone has background on the Leenan or Juenemann family history. FOUTS - Pvt., Co. C, 29th Iowa Infantry; enlisted Magnolia, Iowa, on 15 Aug 1862 for three years; died at Helena, Arkansas, 13 Feb 1863 from measles contracted while on the White River Expedition. Enlistment papers note that he was born in Putnam Co., Indiana, and was age 22 when he entered the service. Fouts' mother, Jane, applied for a Survivor's pension in 1891, stating that he was unmarried and childless at the time of his death, and that she had been dependent upon him. Pension was granted. She died 21 Mar 1895 at Missouri Valley, Iowa. (George H. Fouts was the son of Andrew Fouts and Jane , grandson of Noah (Noel) Fouts and Carolina Wright, of Putnam Co., Indiana, and Shelby Co., Iowa.)(Ref 58-9, pg4 Fouts Newsletters)
